From the newest Hannaford store to projects in China, a Portland consulting firm puts its all into green.

Gunnar Hubbard’s passion for sustainable building came at the age of 12, when his parents moved him from New York to Vermont. PowerPay CEO Stephen Goodrich enjoy[ed] a light moment on Thursday as he unveil[ed] details of a $10 million renovation that will convert the former Portland Public Market into a Gold LEED-certified energy-efficient office building for the company’s 130 workers. The construction, which started in April, is due to be completed in December or January. Goodrich bought the building for about $2 million last October. (August 21, 2009, Portland Press Herald)
