The Maine Chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council is Maine’s foremost coalition of leaders from across the building industry working to promote buildings that are environmentally responsible, profitable and healthy places to live and work.  Their vision is to create a sustainable built environment in Maine.

 

 

The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) is a Washington, D.C.-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to a prosperous and sustainable future through cost-efficient and energy-saving green buildings. USGBC works toward its mission of market transformation through its LEED green building certification program, robust educational offerings, a nationwide network of chapters and affiliates, the annual Greenbuild International Conference & Expo, and advocacy in support of public policy that encourages and enables green buildings and communities.

 

USGBC Education Providers are third-party organizations that provide courses which have been approved by USGBC to count for GBCI CE Hours toward the Green Building Certification Institute’s Credential Maintenance Program.

USGBC’s broad network of Education Providers equips professionals with a diverse catalog of green building continuing education necessary to stay competitive in the marketplace.  Their courses target professionals seeking to enrich their knowledge of green building theories, techniques and business trends.

 

 

 


LEED for Homes
is a consensus-developed, third party-verified, voluntary rating system which promotes the design and construction of high-performance green homes.

The Maine Real Estate & Development Association (MEREDA) is an organization whose mission is to promote an environment for responsible development and ownership of real estate throughout Maine.

 

 

The U.S. Regenerative Network is a private consortium of leading green building product manufacturers and service providers with the mission of improving each member’s environmental and social sustainability, and economic profitability. The Network also brings together leading real estate portfolio owners and architecture, engineering, and construction professionals to discuss cutting-edge green products and services that can advance building performance.

 

Maine Businesses for Sustainability is a network of Maine businesses expanding their bottom line through sustainable business practices and triple bottom line values.

 

   

Climate Counts scores the world’s largest companies on their climate impact to spur corporate climate responsibility and conscious consumption, and manages the Climate Counts Industry Innovators program. Fore Solutions is a Preferred Service Partner of Climate Counts.

LEEDuser helps you certify your building project with support for the key commercial and institutional LEED rating systems, with tips, checklists, sample documentation, forums and more.
