This project included the renovation of an existing historic building on the Wesleyan University campus that once served as the campus student center and has now been transformed into classrooms and offices to support the Allbritton Center for the Study of Public Life. As a historic renovation, the building maintains almost all of its original structure and envelope including triple pane windows that will be once again made operable. A small section of green roof visible is from the rooftop café. Fore Solutions was the LEED Consultant and energy analyst. The energy model demonstrated significant savings using active chilled beams and taking advantage of a new combined heat and power plant at the University.
