The Spa is part of an addition and renovation to the award-winning Inn by the Sea. The Inn was selected as a Top 10 American Green Hotel by MSNBC and Forbes Traveler and has long been a leader in incorporating sustainable principles into hotel operations. The Spa offers guests of the Inn and outside visitors a variety of massage, facial and body treatments that incorporate native plants and flowers. The space includes administrative offices, six treatments rooms, a cardio room, and a serenity room for relaxation. Green features include low VOC adhesives, paints, and coatings; Green Label Plus carpet and recycled rubber floors; Greenseal cleaning products; water savings gained through the use dual flush toilets and indigenous plants; radiant panels for adjustable thermal comfort in the treatment rooms; energy efficient lighting; energy star appliances; and air to air heat exchangers are used to recover heat from the ventilation system.
